The Little Falls Civic Club presents
"The Little Falls Story - The City That Wouldn't Die"
The Little Falls Civic Club has invested in the restoration of a March 1975 TV program aired on WUTR TV-20. It was produced and narrated by Tony Papaleo, a Little Falls business owner and life-long resident, and is based on a slide presentation of "Little Falls - Past and Present" that Mr. Papaleo often shared with various local clubs, churches and organizations. The original video was literally retrieved from a trash bin, preserved and restored by the Little Falls Civic Club during the summer of 2006. Studio taping technology has so radically changed since the early 70's that the video tape had to be sent to a facility in San Francisco that could transcribe it and produce a digital master. This video is an incredible journey back through time that will appeal to Alumni that have left the area as well as those who have remained in Little Falls as it has transformed over the years. The visual images of the city are guaranteed to bring back fond memories of earlier times and are reminders of what makes Little Falls such a special place in all of our hearts. All proceeds from the sales of the DVDs and VHS tapes will support the Civic Club's annual scholarship awards for two qualifying seniors from Little Falls High School and/or the Mohawk Valley Christian Academy.
