“Share the Spirits” with Class of 1976’s John George


Growing up in the Upstate New York countryside provided a childhood of outdoor fun and adventure for Class of 1976’s John George.  He spent much quality time with his father, John, his three uncles, Ray, Joe and Bob, and later his “Fifth Father”, Giovanni.  John’s first retail sales lesson as a stock boy in a local pharmacy inspired him to become a Registered Pharmacist.  In Pharmacy School, he took a course on spirits, manufacturing and proofing.  Little did he know at the time he would be putting that experience into future practice at his Five Saints distillery (www.fivesaintsdistilling). On Friday, August 8, 2014, as part of the Little Falls Canal Days Celebration, Sons of the DeCarlo Staffo Post hosted an event to bring all graduates of Little Falls High School and St. Mary’s Academy together at one venue.  Traditionally, most classes have their individual reunions every five years.  These individual reunions are a great way to meet with your own classmates, but fall short of creating networks between graduates from other classes.
