In September of 2022, Class of 1990’s Alumni Tracy Young Scarano shared a video with Little Falls City School District’s principals and superintendent in which a school in South Carolina had their upperclassmen visit the elementary schools on Fridays to start their day off with a high five as they entered the building.

Administration agreed it was a great idea and the activity has been a huge success.  Since then, the program has expanded and created an opportunity for the sports teams, clubs and even the fire department to get involved with the elementary school kids.  Even when it’s chilly outside, High Five Friday has been moved indoors as needed.

“It gets the kids all pumped up and ready to go,” Young shared and a new tradition has begun.
