Little Falls High School Alumni Network (LFHS AN) is an entirely volunteer based organization whose mission is to serve the interests of Little Falls High School alumni, the Little Falls City School District, and the local community. In order to facilitate development of relationships among and between these groups, we may request personal information about you as indicated in this policy.
While we may request personal information, you are under no obligation to provide any information we request. If you decline to provide requested information we may not be able to give you access to the personal information provided by other alumni, or participate in certain portions of our web site that are for use by registered members only.
It is important to recognize that LFHS AN is committed to protecting personal information to the best of our ability. In addition, it is our intent to comply with any state and federal laws which might apply with regards to volunteer based community organizations such as ours.
1. Information that we collect
We collect nonpublic information about you from the following sources:
- information we receive from you on applications, other forms and e-mail;
- information you input on our web site
- information provided by your Class Registrar who may be compiling and maintaining your Class Directory
Typically, this non public information includes your name, class year, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address and personal summary that you provide.
As indicated in the instructions when you register on our site, you retain the option of deciding under what circumstances these pieces of non public information might be disclosed.
On occasion, information concerning class reunions, community or other events may mention your name and possibly contain photos. Such summaries and photos will typically be gathered and reviewed by your Class Registrar prior to posting on the LFHS Alumni site.
2. Information we may disclose to third parties.
Other than to your Class Registrar (or designated Reunion Coordinators and LFHS AN volunteers), we do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to other Alumni except as you have authorized for disclosure on our registration form.
On occasion, we may assist the Little Falls City School District or Little Falls Community Chest by identifying individual Alumni that may help further LFHS and/or Community Chest goals.
No other disclosures of your personal information will be made to any other parties.
3. Our practices regarding information confidentiality and security.
We restrict access to nonpublic information about you to those Alumni and Reunion Coordinators who need to know that information in order to further the goals of LFHS AN. While we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to secure the confidentiality of all information provided to us, we cannot guarantee with 100% certainty that these safeguards will never be breached. Your best option to insure absolute security of your non public information is to decline to provide the information you are concerned about. Recognize, however, that your choice to decline providing certain requested information may cause us not to be able to allow you access to similar personal information of other alumni or participate in certain portions of our web site that are for use by registered members only.
