Southside Walking Tour VIII – 1st FALL Tour!

Growing Up on the Southside 1957 – 1970

(By popular demand SATURDAY November 06, 2021 for the 1st FALL TOUR!)

NOTE: Requested by merchants and volunteers who were too busy working during the Canal Celebration, or it was just TOO Hot in August!

This walking tour will START and END at the Rotary Park Terminal Building on Southern Ave.

This Tour will focus only on the area of the Southside, south of the Mohawk River and Barge Canal.  If you could not attend during the Canal Celebration, come hear what stories you missed!

Southside Death March T-shirts are available for $20 on the day of the walk or before. Proceeds support the LF Historical Society.

WHAT:  The “Tour” will focus on growing up on the Southside from 1957 to 1970, with a theme that was NOT “Leave It to Beaver” or “Ozzie and Harriet” or “My Three Sons”, but instead a very different and special experience. The history is about the places, the people, and the memories. You will find some of the stories very entertaining!

AUDIENCEAnyone with an interest in the Southside during the 1960’s, or those from the Northside who never understood Southside people, or those not from Little Falls who married Little Falls Southsiders, or their adult children.  Some “adult?” content or described behaviors may not be suitable for children.

If you are a photographer, you will find great opportunities for photos in a variety of natural vistas, vegetation, etc. Bring your camera.

WHEN: Saturday November 06, 2021

Sign In begins at 8AM  (Registration, Questions, Safety Briefing), and the Tour STARTS at 9AM.

Allow 2 to 3 hours, but participants can leave at any time (Please inform Tour Guide when leaving).

The END time is flexible and dependent upon the pace, and number of questions, from participants.

WHERE: Meet at the Rotary Park Terminal Building on Southern Ave by NLT 8:30 am. We will start on time.

NO REST ROOMS AVAILABLE AT ROTARY PARK OR ALONG THE TOUR!
