LFHS 2017 Reunion Recaps

Commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the New York State Erie Canal, this year’s events also marked the 30th annual celebration of Canal Days.  The Canal Days Celebration represents recognition of the community, our heritage and the spirit that makes Little Falls a unique place in the Mohawk Valley.  It welcomes thousands of visitors to Little Falls, attending dozens of family oriented community programs, held throughout the week and also is a popular time for LFHS/St. Mary’s reunion gatherings.  This year was no exception!

Please enjoy the proceeding compilation of recaps and photos of these years’ events:

  • On Saturday, August 12th, 2017, the Class of 2007 celebrated their 10 year reunion at the Elks Club. With approximately 40 alumni and significant others in attendance, the night was filled with fun, food, laughter, photos, reminiscing, catching-up and a special toast to the 4 classmates they have lost over the years.  Class officers, Leisha Majtan and Emily Scarano (Class of 2007 Registrar), would like to thank all of their classmates who made the night so fun and memorable.

  • The Class of 1977 celebrated their 40 year reunion on Friday, August 11 with a Canal Cocktail Cruise on the Lil’ Diamond. The class procured a bus/shuttle for about 35 roundtrip from Little Falls to Lil Diamond and the remainder of the class and some 25 spouses (about 90 in total), boarded at the departure site. Guests were greeted with name tags and boarding passes and a few even hit the dance floor immediately. Everyone was so happy to see each other at this highly anticipated 40th. Lynn and Chef Brown from Beardslee Castle were selected for heavy hors d’ oeuvres and were the perfect hosts downstairs. The Lil’ Diamond crew, including the Captain, made everyone comfortable, loved the class’s energy and rose to the occasion. The spirited group caught up, danced and sang upstairs in a Class of ’77 circle as if they were were celebrating their 10th reunion. It was a truly memorable event and all are looking forward to the next time they can get together. Plans are already in the works for a 45th Reunion get together.
