Little Falls continues to prove what a remarkable community it truly is. We have reached $115,723!

We are ecstatic to announce that the Samuel S. Dale Memorial Trust has awarded a $25,000 grant in support of the effort to help open the Francis Skinner Municipal Pool for the 2026 season. This is a tremendous investment in our children, families, and community.

What has happened over the past several weeks has honestly been incredible to witness. To date, 160 donors have stepped forward to support this effort, including:

• 87 residents of Little Falls

• 43 supporters from municipalities across New York State outside of Little Falls

• Donors from 29 additional states and 1 other country

That level of support says something powerful about this city and the people who care about it. Communities do not receive this kind of response unless people believe in them.

We are still actively accepting donations and every contribution continues to move this effort forward. I have remained in contact with Mayor Deborah Kaufman regarding the transfer of funds and next steps. As I shared publicly during the May 5th Common Council meeting, the funds have been ready for transfer at the City’s request so preparations such as lifeguard hiring and training can begin as soon as possible.

Thank you to every single person, business, organization, and family who has donated, shared posts, encouraged others, and believed in this effort. This campaign has become about far more than a swimming pool. It has become a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a common purpose.
